Is anyone else having a hard time believing that Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK!? Well, if you are (living in lala land) like me and thought that it was next week, surprise! You have a lot to do in the next few days! I am getting inspired by editor extraordinaire Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart Weddings and her use of paper to pep up her Thanksgiving Table. A good paper decor scheme can be just as beautiful as a great floral arrangement (and is definitely be more fun for kids). I love her warm color palette and fun metallic accents, too!
Here are a few paper pieces I put together for our Thanksgiving table. I am featuring Ina Garten’s 2012 Thanksgiving menu (inside a fold-over menu card). The ikat pattern on the outside of the card is festive, and the menu inside is d-to the E-licious! Pomegranate Cosmos and Pan Fried Onion Dip? Are you kidding me, Ina? I’m gonna need some of Joey Tribbiani’s “Thanksgiving Pants” after this meal.
I am digging these floral arrangements, to complement my golden color scheme.
Wild grasses, tied with a satin bow and a burlap table cloth? Simple and stylish.
Glass centerpiece bowl with some gourds and corn? Easy peasy.
Pumpkins and yellow/orange roses? Beautiful and totally do-able (in 2 days).
